The say that Truth cannot be perpetually suppressed has come to the fore regarding the conduct of the 2023 presidential election as Ambassador Marvin Yobana, a former Africa Representative at the World Assembly of Youths and once a close ally of ex-Governor Nyesom Wike, has shared details about what happened in Obio – Akporlocal government area, during that presidential election
In a video shared by Arise TV, Yobana alleged that Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, won the highest vote in Obio-Akpor LGA according to official records from INEC.
He however reveale that he, Wike’s Chief of Staff, and several others protested the results, shutting down the INEC office, insisting that the election was rigged and the results were not correct.
Yobana said that their protest allegedly led to INEC changing the original outcome and taking away Peter Obi’s victory in Obio-Akpor, Wike’s Local Government of origin.
In Yobana’s words: “It is on record, INEC has a clear record that in Wike’s LGA, Obio-Akpor, it was Peter Obi that won but because I and the Chief of Staff and so many of us went on a protest and shut down INEC office the result was changed. For one month we were protesting there that the election was rigged and it is not correct until INEC had to change the will of the people at that level”.
As Analysts continue examining this revelation, Nigerians are still expecting reactions from the accused .
