Chisom Blessing Ani, from Enugu State has qualified for the quarter finals of the 42kg, Female category, at the on going Under – 15 National Youths Games taking place in Asaba, Delta State.
Ani crushed Shola Gbemisola from Ondo State as the Referee stopped the contest in round one after a flurry of punches from Chisom.
Reacting to the development, an Ex – International Boxer, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo expressed happiness that Enugu State is raising the most dangerous set of Student Boxers from the South East Nigeria.
Mazi Okoronkwo who discovered Chisom and Others at the recent Grassroots boxing fiesta sponsored by Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly assured that Chisom and her colleagues will storm the world of Boxing.
