The member representing Umunneochi State Constituency Mr Mathias Ume has expressed his desire to worki with all relevant stakeholders to make his presence felt as he gives quality representation to all sections of his constituency.
Mr Ume who gave the assurances while addressing members of the newly inaugurated Umunneochi Constituency Project Committee, called on them to join hands with the administration of Dr Alex Otti in making the necessary sacrifices to bring about rapid development to the area.
The lawmaker described Education as key to the development of any society and expressed confidence that with time the committee will be expanded to accommodate other interests not yet covered and complement the Governor’s efforts in the area.
Contributing, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr Chaka Chukwumerije who expressed joy at the essence of the gathering, stressed the need for unity of purpose by the people as well as members of the committee to be result oriented and emulate Mr Ume in making unity and transparency their watchwords.
In their separate remarks, the Deputy Mayor, Umunneochi Local Government Area, Mr Augustine Njoku and the Chairman, Umunneochi Constituency Project Committee, Mr Obi Anyaoha lauded Mr Ume for always standing by the people and for hmaking Umunneochi proud at the state House of Assembly and assured that as a team, they will ensure prudence in the management of the resources and not disappoint.
Also speaking, Chief Darlington Ohia, Lady Grace Ibe and Mr Obiora Nduka commended Mr Ume for his quality representation to the people of Umunneochi and the harmonious working relationship existing between Umunneochi indigenes in government and assured of their support and cooperation as well as that of the people of the area.
