The Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers has felicitated the immediate past general officer commanding 81st(Amphibious) Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Obinna Ajunwa on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, describing the military General as a worthy illustrious son and ambassador, epitome of leadership, honour, service, achievement and excellence.
The Royal Fathers who made this known in a statement jointly endorsed by the Chairman and traditional ruler of Okaiuga Alike autonomous community, Eze Sir Innocent Adiele Nwaigwe and the secretary who is also the traditional ruler of Eziama na Mgbaja autonomous community, Eze Chiabuotu Emelike eulogized Major General Ajunwa as one of Nigeria’s best military officers who has continued to stand strong and proud by putting his life on the line for the peace, unity and good governance of the nation.
The statement also likened the high ranking military officer as pure gold as described by the renowned Greek Philosopher Plato in his ranking of man in terms of precious metals.
The Umuahia Royal fathers further remarked that as a remarkable individual, there is no doubt that General Ajunwa has stared death in the face in your chosen military career and emerged victorious through the special Grace and Mercy of God.
The Traditional Rulers saluted his resourcefulness, and commitment to lifelong learning, which are essential qualities for navigating the dynamic challenges of the military.
They therefore appreciated God for sparing the life of General Obinna Ajunwa till this day and prayed fervently for safety and more elevation while wishing a many happy returns.
