The 2024 Enugu State U — 15 Youth Games kicks off Tuesday, 20/8/24 and ends on Saturday, 25/8/24.
According to the organizers, the sporting fiesta being sponsored by the Enugu State Government is for the seventeen Local Government Areas of the State.
The event commences with screening at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium while the activities will be held at select sporting facilities in Enugu Municipality.
The competition will feature football, volleyball, basketball, hand ball, boxing, athletics, cycling, para – athletics, chess, scrabble, taekwondo, karate and judo.
Others include; gymnastics, wrestling, deaf – sports, table tennis, lawn tennis, para- table tennis, weightlifting, ayo and kokowa.
Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah and Commissioner for youths and sports, Lloyd Ikechukwu Ekweremadu are expected to grace the fiesta which is aimed at catching future heroes young
Meanwhile, some of the most dangerous and skillful under 15 Boxers to watch in Enugu state under 15 Youth Games have stepped up preparations for the event.
Jude Ugwuanyi from Udenu, Victory Nnaji from Enugu North, Akachukwu Nwaokolo from Nkanu East and Maxwell Anikwe from Awgu LGA, according to Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo the grassroot Boxing talent hunt coordinator are already itching to go.
