It was another sad day in Aba Friday evening as two policemen were shot dead while another one was injured following an unprovoked attack at the check point by unknown gunmen.
The incident which happened at Opobo junction along Ikot – Ekpene road Ogbor Hill Aba caused panic as street traders, shop owners and motorists seeking for safety.
Food items including, garri, vegetables, meat, Rice and beans belonging to the street traders were scattered on the road as they fled for safety.
Reports say few minutes later, a Police Patrol team stormed the area as residents deserted the road.
It would be recalled that barely one month ago a similar incident took place at Obikabia junction, Ogbor Hill Aba where a Military check point was attacked by yet to be identified gunmen killing five soldiers and burning their Patrol Van.
