Trump shuns further debate with Harris

In an action that has stunned many political watchers globally, loquacious Republican Candidate, Donald Trump has ruled out another presidential debate against his rival, Kamala Harris before November’s election.

Trump who was speaking on Thursday, two days after the Contestants’ first showdown in Philadelphia surprisingly claimed that Harris only wanted a rematch because he “clearly” won.

However, several instant polls taken after Tuesday’s contest indicated voters felt Harris had performed better than her Republican opponent, Trump.

In his usual theatrics,Trump told Harris to instead “focus” on her job as vice-president.

In her reaction shortly after, at a campaign rally in North Carolina, Harris reminded Trump that they “owe” voters another debate because “what is at stake could not be more important”.

Recall after the debate on Tuesday, Trump and his supporters accused the two ABC journalists that moderated the debate of being unfair and biased in favour of Harris.

Some Analysts say Trump’s position could be a strategy to avoid further damage to his campaign considering the effect of debates on US elections
