Over 20 medical and dental students and a House Officer from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos, travelling together have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in the Otukpo area of Benue State.
The Team who are members of the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) were on their way to their annual convention in Enugu when they were said to have been ambushed by the Gunmen at about 5.300pm on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Benue State Police Command confirmed the incident this Friday morning.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, said investigation had been launched into the abduction.
