Organisers of the 2024 Abia Day celebration slated for Saturday, 17th August, 2024 under the auspices of the Abia union, Denmark and South Sweden, say they are ready to host the event.
The ceremony which will be holding in Copenhagen at 16.00 hours according to them is aimed at showcasing Abia, God’s own state in a Grand style in far away Europe.w
The chairman of the committee, Okechukwu Okoye and the Coordinator, Sweden, Emmanuel Eze while speaking with Hanto Daily News revealed that the event will feature the popular war dance (ikpirikpi ogu), Abia women dance, Ohanaeze cultural dance and procession, Igba Ndieze and ogene Enugu, talent haunt and Abia dishes.
Special Guests of honour include: Dr Alex Otti — Executive Governor Abia state, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu- Deputy speaker House of representatives and Rt Hon Emmanuel Emereuwa – Speaker Abia House of Assembly,
The rest are Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, Sen. Enyi Abaribe Sen. Austin Akobundu as well as HRM Eze Sir Linus Nto Mba – Chairman Abia council of Ndieze.
