There are glaring indications that Nigerians will soon witness a rise in the cost of making calls, sending messages and other Telecom uses.
This followed the confirmation by the Federal Government of plans to increase telecoms tariffs.
The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijan, who made this known at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja on Wednesday however assured Nigerians that it won’t be by 100% as requested by operators.
According to him, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is expected to come up with modalities for tariff adjustment in the telecoms industry.
