Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya, this Tuesday (17/09/24) assumed duty as the new Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Police Command.
CP Anya who was recently appointed by the Police Service Commission takes over from Augustina Ogbodo, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant inspector General of Police (AIG).
Hanto Daily News reports that the new CP arrived at the Ebonyi State Police Command headquarters in Abakaliki, to a colourful reception, where she inspected a quarter guard mounted in her honor, before proceeding for a meeting with heads of the command.
Addressing journalists in her office, she assured that her period will witness robust collaborative work with sister security agencies while promising to live up to the mandate given to her by the Inspector General of Police regarding the security of lives and property.
Before her elevation to the rank of a Commissioner of Police and deployment to Ebonyi State Command, she had served in different Police Commands and formations across the country, including at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, the Lagos, Abia and Delta State Police Commands.
CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya who studied Medical Laboratory Science and Law, hails from neighbouring Imo State.
