The Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ihube is set to hold their 2024 Annual Synod with the theme of the Synod selected under the guidance of the Holy Spirit is “Arise and Build “(Nehemiah 2:18b).
A release endorsed by the Chief Host of the Synod and the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Revd Chinonyerem C. Ekebuisi says the three-day event which is scheduled to take place at the Archbishop Dimoji Memorial Methodist Cathedral, Ihube.
According to the release, the event will commence on the 9th of May 2024 and end on the 12th of May 2024.
It further points out that the Diocese in collaboration with the Ihube Central Assembly will be launching a N50 Million Niara Classroom Building project during the Plenary Session of the Synod.
The event which will have delegates from all the circuits in the diocesan area and distinguished sons and daughters of Ihube Diocese will be chaired by Chief (Hon) Albert Onyema Ukaigwe KSC, KJW while the keynote address will be delivered by Chief (Sir) Ike Onyechere MFR, KJW.
As stated in the release, the Prelate Emeritus of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr S. C. K Uche who is a son of the soil will grace the Plenary Session as the Spiritual Father of the day.
