Eighteen-year-old Drummer, Uzoma Victor Eberechi of Umuevo, Umuezeala, Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State was born totally deformed with twisted arms and legs which ordinarily could not be used in such activities as playing musical instruments.
However, this conspicuous disability was pushed aside by this young man who without formally learning the skills of beating drums started this vocation at the age of seven to the surprise of all who knew him and his challenges.
Victor who told Hanto Daily News while in action at the Canaanland Counseling center, Umuoma ,Onitcha, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, a k.a E dey work, revealed that he never went for any formal training on handling such an instrument, attributing to divine inspiration and his dogged determination to succeed in life.
The Drummer that was appreciated financially by the spiritual Director of E dey work ministry, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024, a feat that witnessed naira rain for the young man made public that his ambition is to be an accountant.
Victor who was all smiles however told Hanto Daily News that he lost his father very early in life and expressed confidence that God will see him through to achieve his heart desires.
Speaking on this rare talent, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere described Young Victor as a challenge to those who engage in begging because of disabilities.
The outspoken Priest who extolled the dedication of the Drummer boy to the things of enjoined him to keep remaining a leading light to the less privileged and the disabled.
