Outspoken catholic Priest and Spiritual Director, Canaan land counselling centre, known as E – Dey work ministries, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, has called on groups agitating for the independence of the Sovereign state of Biafra to shun imposing lockdown to mark the day, this Thursday, (30/05/24)

Preaching on Wednesday during the covenant day of forward movement at the Canaan land counselling centre Umuoma, Ezinihitte, Mbaise, Imo State, Rev Fr. Dr. Ebere reminded such Agitators that lockdown denies the people proper celebration of a day that is supposed to be marked with fanfare to prove to other Nigerians that Ndigbo are together in their demand for freedom.
While describing the use of lockdown in South East for the enforcement of certain demands as barbaric, the fiery Priest reminded them of the need to embrace the Catalonia style of request for independence from Spain which has been devoid of bloodletting.
According to Fr Manus popularly called Fr. E – Dey work, employing diplomatic tactics as used in modern day pursuit of political goals is needed now to even attract our brothers who have investments scattered all over the country to think home by bringing their investments back to Ala – Igbo.
The Catholic Priest who made it clear that he loves the idea of freedom of Biafra, pointed out that the issue of lockdown has crippled the economy of the South East stressed the need to resrategised to avoid the continued killing of youths and the continued nose diving of the economy.
