Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency, Mr Mathias Ume has announced his decision to offset the WAEC and NECO Examination registration fees for next year for all the students of the four secondary schools in Nneato, Umunneochi Local Government Area.
Hon Ume who broke the cheering news when he played host to members of Labour Party in Nneato Zone, also awarded a cash reward of fifty thousand naira to miss Chisom James, a student of Nneato Secondary School who emerged the overall best in athletics in the just concluded Governor Alex Otti School Sports Competition in the state.
The lawmaker who welcomed decampes and new entrants into the party during the meeting urged them to work in harmony with the old members and swell the fortunes of the party, assuring them of carrying everybody along in the scheme of things.
Responding on behalf of others, a former PDP stalwart in the area, Chief Emmanuel Erere, Chief Eugene Ibe, Mrs Felicia Okereke and Mrs Gloria Onwueme former members of the YPP who said they decided to joined the Labour Party in support of Mr Mathias Ume and Governor Alex Otti for their credibility and outstanding performances in office, especially in restoring security to the area and other developmental strides.
Contributing, a former President General of Nneato, Mr Clement Onyema, Prof. Charles Okonkwo, Mr Kelechukwu Nnaemedo, Chief Ikoro Ele and Mr Celestine Ejike lauded the giant strides of the lawmaker and the Governor, barely one year in office and assured of their support and loyalty to enable them do more for their people.
