Reports from Ebonyi state say, Suspected Gunmen numbering about four Saturday evening, attacked Akpoha community along the Afikpo/Amasiri road axis in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, killing three civilians.
Unconfirmed Sources name the victims to include, Egwu Nicholas Nwocha, Emmanuel Nwocha (a member of the defunct Ebubeagu security outfit) and Inya Blessing Orieoma a trader in the area.
Some others within the scene of the incident were reported to have sustained varying degrees of injury during the unprovoked attack.
An Eyewitness account in the area revealed that the suspected Gunmen operated with two motorcycle, with sophisticated Ak47 rifles.
