The Governor, Dr Alex Otti has vowed to use monies earned by the state Government for the benefit of all Abians in order to create prosperity.
Governor Otti who gave the assurance at the Methodist Wesley Cathedral Umuahia, reiterated that the expectations of Abians will not be cut off.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba while noting that his administration is gradually restoring the lost glory of Abia as God’s own state, disclosed that what is witnessed across the state today under his leadership is a reflection that God has greater plans for the state.
The state Chief executive further thanked the leadership of Methodist Church and churches across the state for their support and prayers for his administration and enjoined all to be intentional in what is happening in the state by paying their taxes to enable government continue to provide dividends of democracy to the citizens.
In a homily, the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Ali Abba stressed the need for Christians to develop stronger faith in God, pointing out that there is nothing difficult for God to do.
Dr Abba also used the opportunity to commend Governor Alex Otti for his developmental strides across the state and described him as a rare leader and one raised by God to change the negative narratives in the state.
Also speaking, the Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia, His Grace, Most Reverend Dr Chibuzor Opoko thanked the Prelate and his entourage for coming to Abia for his apostolic tour as well as appreciated Governor Otti for providing the necessary support and logistics.
The service which attracted notable personalities featured prayers for the Governor and the state, installation and decoration of the prelate’s wife, Deaconess Maria Onyaidu Abba with the “NNE OHA” title by Archbishop Opoko and the women’s fellowship.
