The senior Special Assistant to Abia Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu says the economy of rural communities in Abia state will soon witness a boom following the infrastructural development policy of the state government.
Speaking with Newsmen on the commencement of the reconstruction of the Ohafia – Arochukwu road, Dr. Chukwu described the flagging off of the project by Governor Alex Otti as an indication that the present Abia Government will do all it takes to fulfil its campaign promises and uplift the living standard of the masses.
While pointing out that the road is strategic to the economy of Abia North Zone, the State and even the neighbouring state of Akwa Ibom, the SSA expressed joy that when the two on going road projects leading to Arochukwu are completed, the belief that there is no easy or short route to the ancient city will be demystified.
He attributed the low patronage the Abia State College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu to the dilapidated nature of roads to the city and expressed confidence the realization of the reconstruction projects will attract an upsurge in students enrolment as well spark other economic benefits to communities around the area.
Dr. Chukwu applauded Governor Otti for summoning the courage to embark on the reconstruction of this Federal road which has brought untold hardship to motorists and commuters and called on Abians keeping supporting him in his efforts to positively rewrite the history of the State.
“I applaud Governor Otti’s unwavering commitment to Abia’s development and his commitment to the well – being of Abia citizens
“Under Governor Otti’s leadership, Abia State is indeed on the path to greatness”, the SSA pointed out.
