Following allegations of Mismanagement and infighting between the Provost of Abia State College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu ( ASCETA) ,Prof Vincent Onwe and the Governing Council, the governor, Dr Alex Otti has summoned them to an emergency meeting.
A reliable source, says a terse message from the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Uche Emeh Uche, to the council members and the Provost, the Commissioner directed them to report to Government House, Umuahia, unfailingly by Wednesday, October 02,2024
According to the source, they were further directed to be seated at the Conference Room of the Chief of Staff to the governor by Noon on the said date.
There have been several allegations against the Provost on activities that are inimical to the interests of ASCETA, bothering on the management of Tetfund allocations, petitions from contractors whose monies are being withheld among others.
