In his bid to continue his philanthropy and give sense of belonging to all sections of society during Yuletides, the Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Sir Linus Nto Mbah has once again organized a Christmas launch for less privileged individuals across the state.
Items distributed to the beneficiaries including widows, Orphans, physically challenged persons included; bags of rice, tubers of yam, salt, clothing materials, wheelchairs, white canes, cash among others while scholarship awards were given to some indigent people.
The event tagged, “2024 Ezeudo’s Christmas Lunch With the Physically Challenged Persons saw 200 physically challenged individuals from the 17 LGAs of the state benefiting from the palliatives, about 250 widows, orphans and indigent people as well as special homes benefiting from the gesture of Eze Linus Nto Mbah.
Speaking at the event held at his Royal Palace at Umuzomgbo, Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA, Eze Not Mbah made it clear that the physically challenged individuals deserve to be fairly and equally treated not minding their conditions.
He expressed happiness that the physically challenged persons are becoming resilient and encouraged them to keep it up.
“You deserve to be treated fairly and equally with a spirit and action of empathy.
“Therefore, do not let anybody or your special condition, to let you down. And more importantly, do not let yourself down. God made you special for a special purpose,” Eze Mbah advised.
The Eze Udo 1 of Ata Igbo Ukwu Umuzomgbo Autonomous Community, who described the physically challenged who are not inferior to humans,
said that he was inspired by God Almighty to reach out to them.
“I lived in this town and I know how I suffered and I promised God that so long as I am alive, whatever I have, I must share with people
“I have been doing something like this since I was young but today is a different style because of the glory of God, the Royal Father noted.

The monarch also pointed out that the occasion was also in support of what governor Alex Otti is doing to alleviate poverty in the state and commended him for his love for the physically challenged individuals which made him to initiate and signed into law, the commission that caters for the physically challenged in the state.
In their various responses on behalf of other benefiting physically challenged persons, the Chairman, Joint National Association of Persons with Disability, Abia state chapter, Mr. Wisdom Kalu Okechukwu and the representatives of the Principal, School for the Blind Afaraukwu Umuahia , Eze Orasi appreciated Eze Linus Mbah for doing good to individuals who cannot repay him and prayed God to grant his family long abundant blessings.
