Eze-elect of Nsirimo Amaise Autonomous Community, Dr. Charles Chukwuemeka Amanze, says prioritizing their personal development would help the youths to unlock their potentials.
Addressing the youths and people of Nsirimo during a one-day End-of-the-Year Youth Capacity Building Seminar with the theme: “Unlocking Human Potential: Strategies for Personal Growth andp Self-improvement,” organized by Eze Amadioha Nsirimo Foundation, held at the Umunnelu Nsirimo Ugochinyerenwa Palace of the Eze-elect on Monday, December 30, 2024., Dr Amanze said the training was in line with the agenda of the Dr. Alex Otti led-administration to make youths of the state agents of development.
He made it clear that imbibing what they would learn during the seminar would help them to be successful in life and be able to make positive contributions to society.
The Eze– Elect explained that he organized the seminar through his Foundation as part of his contribution to human capital development and to assist youths in his Nsirimo community, Umuahia South local government area and Abia State in general to channel their energies to positive engagements and productive ventures.
The Royal High Prince maintained that to achieve personal development and self-improvement, the youths need to set daily goals which would help them to measure their successes and failures in terms of meeting their targets.
“Personal growth is a lifelong journey. By incorporating goal-setting, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and positive habits, we unlock our potential. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together, cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and fulfillment,” he counseled.
To succeed in the journey of self-discovery and transformation, Dr Amanze emphasized that setting SMART Goals was necessary because in the “rapidly changing world, personal development is no longer a luxury, but a necessity; and “unlocking our full potentials” would bring about living “a life of purpose and fulfillment.”
“We, as youths, being the biggest assets of our locality because of the important roles we play in the development and economic growth of our society, must acquire the Power of Goal-Setting.
“Setting SMART goals is the foundation of personal growth. By making our objectives Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART), we create a roadmap for success. When you set the SMART goals, you have to break down large goals into smaller, manageable tasks, and regularly review and adjust them to stay on track.
“You will also need to manage your Emotional Intelligence which is the Key to Effective Relationships. Emotional intelligence is the bridge between self-awareness and effective relationships. Recognize your emotions, values, and motivations. Practice empathy, active listening, and effective communication to foster deeper connections.
“Imbibing spiritual insights through Mindfulness and Meditation is also necessary for the purpose of finding Inner Peace. Mindfulness and meditation are powerful tools for stress reduction and focus. Practice mindfulness in daily activities, and dedicate time for regular meditation. Cultivate gratitude, positivity, and self-compassion.
“To conquer, you need to
build Positive Habits which will enhance your ability to
Challenge negative thought patterns, and create routines for learning, creativity, and self-care. You should Celebrate small victories, and find accountability through mentorship or partnerships.
“For progression, you will need to institute Practical Applications for Personal Growth.
Develop a personalized growth plan, prioritize self-care, and schedule regular self-reflection. Embrace life-long learning, and strive for excellence,” he challenged the youths.
He urged the wealthy in the society to invest in building of capacity of youths to enable them to give their best to mankind, describing well trained youths as invaluable assets.
Giving a Vote of Thanks, wife of the Eze-elect, Roseline Ihuoma Amanze, thanked all who graced the training, saying that it was a tip of the iceberg of the good packages her husband has for his people.
Two rising young reggae music stars, Rocky Star and CWave, performed during the seminar.
