Ex – International Boxer, Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has Congratulated all the Democratically elected Chairman of the 17 Local Government areas of Abia State on their swearing in and assumption of office.
In a release, Mazi Okoronkwo stated that the successful conduct of the 2 November, 2024 elections indicates that democracy is gradually blossoming at the grassroots.
Mazi Okoronkwo who is also a Sports Ambassador enjoined the newly elected Council Chairmen to fulfill their campaign promises, describing the Local Government as the pivot of democracy.
He commended Governor Alex Otti for ensuring the peaceful and acceptable conduct of the polls and called for total support for his administration.
