Ezeagu local government of Enugu State has joined their counterparts in honouring their Students who brought laurels to the council at the 7th Edition of Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Grassroots Boxing Talent hunt exercise.
The students from community secondary school Amansiodo Oghe in Ezeagu – Master Nwokolo Ebube Miracle and Okwudili Emmanuel who won an awards of certificate of participation in boxing competition in the grassroots Boxing Talent hunt exercise were also among the selected talented boxers by the coordinator of the boxing talent hunt in Enugu State, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo.
Welcoming the boxing Ambassadors, the Director of Personnel Management, Mrs Onuecheta Nkem C (JP), appreciated the effort of the coordinator, Mazi Okoronkwo for his commitment towards fishing out this talented Students across the seventeen local government areas of Enugu State and commended the two students for making Ezeagu Local Government proud.
While enjoining them to keep it up and be focused, she also lauded the efforts of Governor Peter Mbah and the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Uche C Ugwu in sports and other areas of development in Enugu State and prayed God to protect and continue blessing them.
In his speech, the coordinator of the exercise and Ex International Boxer Mazi Okoronkwo Ikechukwu described grassroots sports development as an avenue to foster unity among the LGA, State, country and enhancing the spirit of oneness in youths.
Mazi Okoronkwo commended the council for the honour done the Champions and enjoined the students and their parents to properly utilize the cash rewards for the benefit of furthering the student’s academics.
