E dey work feeding the poor programme hits Aba.

After visiting strategic locations in Owerri, the capital of Imo state, Nigeria, for evangelism and provision of food, clothes and Medicare to the needy, the spiritual Director of Canaanland Counseling centre a.k.a E Dey work, Rev. Fr. Dr. Magnus Ebere has taken the philanthropic gesture to Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia state.

The programme which commenced in the commercial hub popularly called Enyimba City has seen the compassionate priest and his Crew touch Enyimba bus stop along Enugu – port Harcourt expressway and the Samek junction all within the ever busy Ariaria international market axis in two visits.

At both places, the overwhelming crowd comprising the needy received Medicare, food, water, and clothings from the E Dey work team who dedicatedly ensured that those present were taken care of.

Addressing the joyous crowd that chorused E Dey work ooo at intervals, Rev. Fr. Dr. Ebere explained the ministry embarked on the programme as part of its efforts to assuage the sufferings of the masses amidst the choking economic policies of the government.

He reminded of the well to do in society of the need to embrace the culture of helping the needy and less privileged, pointing out that the true test of a Christian is in ability to carry the burden of others like Christ.

Fr.Ebere thanked Adorers who have contributed to the success of the programme for their generosity and restated his resolve to work for the common good of the suffering in line with teachings of Jesus Christ who gave his life that we shall be saved.

While expressing confidence that with faith in God the current situation would be overcome, the Catholic Priest called on them not to engage in evil as a means of survival.

The programme, according to Fr Ebere is expected to move to the next stage of providing free fuel to commercial Keke Riders to enable them feed their families in this period of high cost of petrol.
