As the world celebrates the 2024 world day of communication next Sunday, the leadership of the Catholic Diocese of Umuahia, Abia state is to mark the event great thanksgiving.
A release jointly endorsed by the chairman Catholic media practitioners Association of Nigeria, CAMPAN, Comrade Hyacinth Okoli and Chairman planning committee, Chikezie Onyeabor puts the venue at Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, while time is 10am.
According to the release, the presentation of a paper and discussions on this year’s theme,” Artificial intelligence and the wisdom of the heart: towards a fully human communication will take place immediately after the Church service at the cathedral Secretariat.
It further states that the event will feature the formal presentation of the new national president of CAMPAN, Sir Chimdi Oluoha, the immediate past Chairman CAMPAN, Umuahia Diocese, who was elected at the national delegates conference held between 15th and 18th April.
The release therefore invites all Heads of media houses, stakeholders in the media industry, media practitioners in the state and the leaderships of various religious groups to this event.
