Social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has been slammed with a N1 billion suit by controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, alleging defamation and damage to his reputation.
Bobrisky in a case document he published online claims that VeryDarkMan released a recording allegedly generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which has tarnished his image.
Bobrisky’s lawyers have therefore given VeryDarkMan a 24-hour ultimatum to retract his statements and apologize.
A trending voice conversation released recently by VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him and that instead of serving his six-month prison sentence for naira abuse in a correctional facility, he spent time in a VIP facility after paying Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) officers.
The Federal Government has already stepped into the matter, suspending senior NCoS officers due to these allegations.
