Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has announced the dissolution of his entire cabinet, comprising all Commissioners and Special Advisers.
Announcing the decision this Friday during a valedictory session at the Exco Chamber, Governor Eno said it came as a result of his resolve to bring in fresh faces and professionals to drive the state’s development agenda.
The Governor thanked the outgoing commissioners for their hard work and dedication, pointing out that none of them underperformed during their tenure.
“All of you have delivered, and that’s why the Arise Agenda has succeeded.
“But we must come to the end of a season, start another season, and keep moving,” the Governor observed.
Hanto Daily News reports that most of the commissioners had been in office for almost 10 years, with some serving under the immediate past administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Sources say the step will really showcase Governor Eno’s personal choice of cabinet without thinking of compensating Stakeholders who contributed to his electoral success.
