The member representing Umunneochi state constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon Mathias Nwachi Umeh was today December 17, 2024 announced the Deputy Majority Leader of the Abia 8th Assembly.
The announcement was made at the floor of the House shortly before the commencement of plenary by the Speaker Rt Hon Emmanuel Emereuwa.
The choice of Hon Nwachi followed a unanimous vote by the LP caucus of the House and endorsed by the party leaders in the state.
The appointment of Umunneochi State Constituency Legislator could be traced to his meaningful contributions to the progress of the House and his Constituency.
Honourable Nwachi is currently the Chairman House Committee on Budget and Planning and member of sensitive committees of the House.
