Abia State Government has fulfilled its promise to compensate the families of late Inspector Oyibo Shehu and late Mr. Victor Godliveth, who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty on 20/07/2024.
The family of late Inspector Oyibo Shehu received a cheque for N3.5 million while the family of late Mr. Victor Godliveth received a cheque for N1.5 million .
Presenting the cheques the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, appreciated Governor Alex Chioma Otti for the generous gesture.
CP Danladi Isa described the kind gesture as a recognition of the sacrifices made by these brave officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
He reiterated the determination of the command to work dedicatedly for the protection of lives and property of residents of Abia State.
Recall, the victims were gunned down while on patrol along Ngwa road by Mosque junction, Aba by armed assailants in an ash coloured Sienna vehicle.
